Meet the New JCB 4TS-8T TeleSkid

The new JCB 4TS-8T combines the power and maneuverability of a compact track loader with the reach of a telescopic boom. Lift up to 15 feet, reach 8 feet forward and dig up to 3 feet below ground—all with one remarkably versatile machine.

With 109 horsepower and a rated operating capacity of 3,999 pounds with the boom retracted, the 4TS-8T is built for demanding construction, landscaping, agriculture and material-handling applications.

Unique value proposition

One Machine. More Possibilities.

A conventional compact track loader can lift, load and grade. The JCB TeleSkid takes those capabilities considerably further.

Its telescopic Powerboom allows an operator to lift higher, reach across obstacles and work below ground level. This gives contractors the ability to complete jobs that could otherwise require a compact track loader, forklift, small telehandler or compact wheel loader.

Supporting message

The JCB TeleSkid can perform work associated with a skid steer loader, compact track loader, compact telehandler, forklift and compact wheel loader when equipped with the appropriate approved attachment.

Safety and visibility

Safer Entry. Better Visibility. Greater Confidence.

Conventional skid steers and compact track loaders commonly require the operator to enter through the front of the machine, often climbing over the attachment.

The JCB TeleSkid uses a wide-opening side-entry door, designed to improve operator safety by allowing the operator to enter and exit without climbing over an attachment or passing beneath an unsupported boom.

The single-arm Powerboom also provides approximately 270 degrees of operator visibility—reported by JCB as 60% better than a conventional twin-arm loader design.

Side-entry access
Enter and exit through a wide side door instead of climbing over the bucket, forks or other front-mounted attachments.
Improved visibility
The single-arm design provides a clearer view around the machine and toward the working attachment.
Reverse camera
A standard reverse camera improves awareness when maneuvering around busy jobsites.
Controlled operation
Seat-mounted controls, a seven-way multifunction joystick and an emergency-lowering system support confident operation.

Strength and durability

A Single Powerboom Engineered for Strength

The JCB Powerboom is not simply one half of a conventional two-arm loader design. It is a high-strength structural boom engineered specifically to carry and distribute demanding working loads.

The boom uses a pressed U-shaped design with fewer joints and potential stress points. Its central lift and extension cylinders help distribute forces evenly through the boom and chassis.

The result is a machine designed to deliver telescopic reach without sacrificing the strength, stability and productivity expected from a compact loader.

JCB supports the design with:

  • 01A high-strength telescopic steel Powerboom
  • 02A single-piece, fully welded chassis
  • 03Centralized lift and extension cylinders
  • 04Fewer boom joints and stress points
  • 05Extreme-weather machine testing
  • 06More than 250,000 JCB telescopic-boom machines in service across JCB's telescopic product families

Applications and attachments

One TeleSkid. Countless Applications.

A standard SAE/ISO quick hitch and available auxiliary hydraulic flow allow the JCB TeleSkid to operate a broad selection of compatible attachments.

  • General-purpose buckets
  • Grapple buckets
  • Pallet forks
  • Augers
  • Sweepers
  • Trenchers
  • Mulchers
  • Snow attachments
  • Bale spears

Attachment compatibility, rated capacity and load charts must be confirmed for the specific machine, attachment and application.
